September 11th

Remembering. Here's my post from 2006 on 9/11.

Most of us have friends or family members who are serving in the military right now. We love you, we miss you, and we're very proud of all of you. Come home safely.

Leave your thoughts, memories, analysis or reactions in the comments.

Like many people, I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when the news first came in that the towers had been hit. It was my senior year of high school, and I had just gone to the Computer Systems class when a fellow classmates who was coming from gym came in and said that on the radio in the gym was an announcement that the towers were hit.

At first everybody in the class, including the teacher just stood there dumbfounded. Then the teacher pulled up Yahoo News and the whole class gathered around his computer and watched the live report. The rest of the day, everybody was crying, angry, or depressed. Some had loved ones in New York or at the Pentagon. Others had friends whose loved ones where there.

We will never forget those who sacrificed their lives to help those in need.

Old meme, but still funny. If you don't yet find 9/11 humor amusing, please try to develop a sense of humor before venturing out onto the internet again.
